The adults who work in Greta Thunberg class this year are:

  • Ms Dreifuss – Teacher
  • Ms Jones – Teaching Assistant

Our class is named after Greta Thunberg. At just 16 years old, Greta Thunberg started an international youth movement against climate change. The Swedish teenager first staged a “School Strike for Climate” in front of the Swedish Parliament in August last year. She continued to gain international attention after speaking at the U.N. Climate Talks in Poland last December. Her strike has inspired students from around the world, leading tens of thousands of students from Germany, Japan, the UK, Australia and many more to join her #FridaysforFuture demonstrations.

We will be learning all about Greta and her inspirational achievements throughout the year.

The first half term transitioning from Reception can remain a challenge for some children but more settled for others! I am very excited to begin our Year 1 journey.

Look out for our key dates section. This will be updated regularly with all the key dates that you will need to know!

Don’t forget that SeeSaw and Twitter are the best places to get up-to-date information about our class.

Here’s to a great next half term in Year 1!
