Martin Luther King Jr.

Welcome to Year 5’s class page. Our class name is Martin Luther King Jr. and we will be learning lots about him as part of our whole school ‘Little People, Big Dreams’ topic. He was an African American minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968. If you have any facts about Martin Luther King Jr. please share them with our class in September. 

Summer Project

Over the summer watch Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech and find three unfamilar words. Your task is to find out the meaning of these words ready for the first day back at school. Also, get to know Martin Luther King Jr.’s speech over the holidays in preparation for our work during the first weeks of school.
