About Our Class
Welcome to Year 5DS. We are excited for a fantastic half term filled with discovery and growth. This term, we'll be diving into a range of engaging topics and activities.
Curriculm Map - Spring 2
Maths - Fractions / Decimals and percentages
English - The Promise by Nicola Davies (Character narrative) / Macbeth by William Shakespeare (Persuasive letter)
Shared Reading - Folk Tales
Science - Living Things and Their Habitats
History - Norse Culture
Geography - Noth and South America
Religion - A study of 2 Christian Sites
PE - Tennis - The children should wear their PE kit every Monday.
DT - Mechanisms (Electric Vehicles)
PSHE - Healthy me
Music - Strings - The children should bring their instrument every Tuesday.
Homework
Homework will be sent home every Friday. The Children will bring home a maths and spelling activity that will be due back in on the following Thursday. Please send the children in with their homework folder.
Your child should also be practising the multiplication tables for 10 minutes, each day.
Children are expected to read for around 10 minutes for five days across the week.
