About Our Class
Welcome to Year 5W. We are excited for a fantastic half term filled with discovery and growth. This term, we'll be diving into a range of engaging topics and activities.
Curriculm Map - Spring 1
Maths - Fractions / Multiplication and division
English - The Hound of the Baskervilles. Cliffhangar narrative writing and formal report writing.
Shared Reading - The Victorians
Science - Forces
History - Vikings - Lady of the Mercians
Geography - Migration
Religion - Living Christian Traditions
PE - Gym - Abstract Angles. The children should wear their PE kit every Friday.
Homework
Homework will be sent home every Friday. The Children will bring home a maths and spelling activity that will be due back in on the following Thursday. Please send the children in with their homework folder.
Your child should also be practising the multiplication tables for 10 minutes, each day.
Children are expected to read for around 10 minutes for five days across the week.
