Debate Club

Debate Academy runs a fun and inspiring primary school debate programme, helping children develop essential skills in debating, public speaking and critical thinking.

Debate Academy has worked with Banks Road Primary School, helping children develop their debating skills, for the past 4 years, and we are pleased to launch another debate programme for this academic year.

In previous years, we have debated a wide range of topics, such as homework, uniform, violent video games and global issues, and have had an excellent response from the children. This year, we are looking forward to having more exciting debates with each year group.

Throughout the debating programme, children build their confidence in developing arguments, gathering evidence and speaking publicly in front of their peers.

At Banks Road, we think that debating is a great opportunity for children to explore interesting topics in a fun, lively and challenging way.
